How this works
Enneagram Café is a friendly and welcoming space that’s designed to feel as close to a real café as possible – offering fortnightly sessions, insightful resources, and a welcoming community where you can explore the Enneagram at your pace.
Our regular sessions include:
- Attitudes to…
We take an everyday topic (often something quite ordinary) and explore how different Enneagram types relate to it. By staying close to lived experience, familiar assumptions about what’s “normal” start to loosen. - Relationship pairings
These sessions explore how specific Enneagram type pairings tend to operate in relationship and at work. We look at recurring dynamics, misreads, and points of friction or support, drawing on established Enneagram thinking about relational patterns. - Knowledge deepening
A space to deepen understanding of key Enneagram ideas and models. These sessions explore concepts in more depth, such as different frameworks or applications, without teaching from scratch. - Tyger Typing
Using film or television clips, we observe Enneagram patterns in action. Attention is paid not only to what’s on screen, but to the assumptions and hypotheses people bring as they watch. - Subtypes
These sessions explore experience through a particular subtype lens: self-preservation, sexual/one-to-one, or social. The focus is on how attention, priorities, and meaning shift depending on what feels most at stake.

Our history
Opening the Café
Enneagram Café first opened its doors on 6 June 2023, and since then, we’ve held over 40 online sessions, fostering a welcoming and engaging community of Enneagram enthusiasts. Our first live workshop in the summer of 2024 was a wonderful milestone, bringing people together in-person to explore the Enneagram in a deeper and more personal way.
This group is a delightful outcome of sharing this work with receptive people, and I’m incredibly proud of how it has grown. Whether you’re joining us for a single session or as a regular member, you are always welcome to engage, learn, and connect in a way that feels right for you.
We use WhatsApp to stay connected between sessions—sharing resources, recordings, and reflections. Feel free to join the group and become part of the conversation.
Enneagram Café operates on an inclusive pricing model to ensure accessibility for everyone. Please get in touch if you would like to learn more. If you’d like to contribute in a different way, you can also make one-off donations here.
Our approach is grounded in the Narrative Tradition, which encourages participants to explore their stories and experiences within a supportive and reflective space.
If you’re curious to understand more about what drives your behaviour and deepen your self-awareness, Enneagram Café is a welcoming space to do just that.
Join us for deep discussions, valuable resources, and a chance to connect with others on their growth journey.
The Narrative Tradition
The Enneagram has always been an oral tradition, designed to be explored through conversation and shared experience. In recent years, as the Enneagram has gained popularity, it’s often presented in a theoretical or overly simplified way. This can make it feel complex and detached from its true purpose – self-discovery through storytelling and dialogue.
The Narrative Tradition offers an experiential approach, providing a space where people can articulate their personal journeys, hear others’ perspectives, and gain deeper insight into their motivations. It moves beyond static labels, helping individuals connect with their type through real-life experiences, fostering greater self-awareness and empathy.
By articulating our growth and experiences aloud, we create deeper understanding—not just for ourselves, but for others in the community. This approach allows us to move beyond static descriptions and into the dynamic reality of how our patterns show up in everyday life.
Through this approach, Enneagram Café creates an open, engaging environment where participants learn not just through theory but through the lived stories of themselves and others, making the Enneagram a practical and transformative tool.
I was deeply grateful to receive a scholarship from The Narrative Enneagram, enabling me to study with renowned teachers including Renée Rosario, Christopher Copeland, Peter O’Hanrahan and Terry Saracino, as I completed my professional certification as a teacher and practitioner of the Enneagram in the Narrative Tradition. The mentorship I have received from all at this wonderful organisation has become an instrumental part of shaping the ethos of Enneagram Café – where lived experience and compassionate dialogue take centre stage.
